About the Programme:

Jatan Sansthan offers Internship, Rural Immersion, and Exposure Programmes to provide students, researchers, youth, and professionals with practical grassroots learning experiences in the rural and tribal communities of Rajasthan. Over the years, the organization has conducted these programmes with more than 5,000 students and young learners from different schools, colleges, universities, and institutions across India, creating opportunities for them to connect classroom learning with real-life community experiences.

The uniqueness of Jatan Sansthan’s programmes lies in its community-centred and experiential approach, where participants not only observe but actively engage with local communities, women groups, adolescents, youth collectives, farmers, and village institutions. Through field visits, village stays, surveys, workshops, cultural interactions, awareness campaigns, and participatory learning activities, participants gain first-hand exposure to issues related to education, gender equality, health, nutrition, livelihoods, environment, and rural governance.

The programmes are designed to build empathy, leadership, teamwork, communication, problem-solving abilities, and a deeper understanding of grassroots realities and inclusive development. Jatan Sansthan’s residential learning space “Hunar Ghar” further strengthens the experience by offering a safe and immersive environment for workshops, exposure visits, reflection sessions, and rural learning exchanges, making the programme highly interactive, practical, and transformative for participants.
