Pahala Kadam
In Rajsamand district, across the two blocks Deogarh and Amet, a total of 275 Anganwadi Centers have been working under the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS). To strengthen the functioning of these centers, a project was initiated in November 2022 in collaboration with ICDS.
The focus of the project has been on improving Pre-School Education Services so that children are better prepared for school. The project also emphasizes Early Childhood Care & Education (ECCE) and community participation to ensure holistic early learning.
Objective
To reach all children aged 3–6 years and their service providers in Deogarh and Amet blocks.
To strengthen Early Childhood Development through better pre-school preparedness.
To ensure quality services by capacity building of service providers.
To promote innovations and equal opportunities for learning at Anganwadi centers.
To enhance community awareness and participation in early learning and care.
Program Components
Capacity Building of Service Providers – Training and skill enhancement of Anganwadi workers.
Resource Material for Pre-School Education – Providing reference and teaching-learning materials.
Community Awareness & Engagement – Strengthening community participation with centers.
Assessment of Centers – Studying the current status of 275 Anganwadi centers and profiling them, and checking the improvement.
